Bow Wow‘s name used to have a “Lil” in the front, but there’s nothing little about this engagement ring! The rapper, 27, and his girlfriend, Erica Mena, 27, walked the red carpet at the Hip-Hop BET Awards on Sept. 20, and she let it slip that the couple was actually engaged!

While on the red carpet, a reporter from ThisIs50.com asked Erica if Bow Wow, whose real name is Shad Moss, was her boyfriend. She responded, “Uh..he’s actually my fiance!” Well, that’s one way to break huge news!
The next day, the rapper confirmed the news by posting a close up picture of her giant diamond ring! There was no caption on the pic — and it didn’t need one! The pic showed her hand laying over his arm. She showed off the amazing ring with diamonds and a purple stone while he showed off a very flashy Rolex watch.

Erica Raves Over Bow Wow: ‘He’s All About His Family’

The couple reportedly began dating after she appeared on Bow Wow’s BET show, 106 & Park, and they kissed on the couch. That was just six months ago. However, they’re super adorable and we couldn’t be happier. Neither have released a statement, but Erica has been retweeting those congratulating her on Twitter!
Just a few days before confirming the engagement, Erica sat down for an interview with No Judgment Zone w BlogXilla on Sept. 17 and didn’t chat about the news, but instead raved over her friendship Bow Wow.
“I love working with him,” she said, “I’ve known him for so long, we always come together and work. And it’s now that we’re finally at this mature stage more than anything, the great thing about me being around him is I learn so much for him. He’s such a good, regular, down, guy. He’s all about his family. That’s rare to find. He’s never once judged me, either. His friendship definitely means a lot to me. It’s a big deal.”
