George Clooney & Amal Almuddin: Arrive For Wedding & Weekend

George and Amal arrived in Venice, Italy, Sept. 25 to begin their wedding festivities and they are both absolutely glowing aboard their water taxi. They’ve already taken over two of the most glamorous hotels in Venice and their celebs guests are slowly trickling in!

George Clooney, 53, and Amal Almuddin, 36, are bound to have the most fabulous celebrity wedding of 2014. The actor and his British lawyer fiance have quite the weekend planned for the guests, and it all kicks off with a rehearsal dinner, Sept. 26, at Hotel Cipriani, where their 60 guests will have a lavish feast before the big day.

Hotel Cipriani, has reportedly be turned into a gorgeous setting for multiple events for the weekend. Amal’s family, who is reportedly footing the bill, has brought in crystal chandelier and “lavish place settings,” according to Us Weekly.

This 79-room hotel is also where her family is staying: “They seem excited about the festivities. I heard her mom say, ‘I can’t believe it’s actually here!'”
Now George and Amal have chosen, the Aman Canal Grande hotel for their wedding reception, which is equally if not more, gorgeous. The hotel opened in 2013 and is located inside the Palazzo Papadopoli, which is 450 years old. The hotel had one of the first elevators, electric-powered chandeliers, and phone systems in Venice, according to the Daily Mail, and it is only accessible by boat.
The hotel is decked out with head-to-toe gold leaf, famous Murano glass, impressive high ceilings, a private roof garden and library.

The guests reportedly did not get a location for the ceremony on their invitations but here is what a new report claims will go down for the intimate wedding. First, guests will eat breakfast at Cipriani and then go to the Aman hotel for the ceremony. The former mayor of Rome, Walter Veltroni will officiate and then guests will feast on a five-course meal created by chef, Riccardo de Pra.

After the reception the guests will go to the Cirpriani Hotel for fireworks, how amazing! But the party doesn’t stop there, the couple are hosting another dinner, Sept. 28, at Cipriani for their out-of-town guests, before having a civil ceremony the following day.
“Everyone is very excited. It’s going to be quite the party,” one source told Us Weekly. “There is a lot of celebrating planned. They will be serving the tequila at a couple of the parties!”

Will this be the biggest celeb wedding of the year?
