If you’re wondering how Kourtney Kardashian came up with the baby name Reign, HollywoodLife.com has the answer for you! We’ve got all the EXCLUSIVE scoop on the choice, including how Kourt was inspired by her family’s reality royalty status!
Since Kourtney Kardashian, 35, revealed the name of her third baby with Scott Disick, 31, in the cutest Instagram pic, we’ve been trying to decipher the reason behind the name. HollywoodLife has learned EXCLUSIVELY that Kourtney wanted a powerful name to “represent a ruler” and one that would be indicative of the idea that the Kardashian family is American royalty.
“Kourtney wanted a completely unique name, she wanted him to represent a ruler and Sovereign Disick doesn’t have the same ring to it as Reign Disick,” a source dished to HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY.
“Plus Kourtney really believes all the talk when people say that the Kardashians are American royalty, so she really took that to heart and wanted her son to continue that legacy.”
Although it is a name no one ever expected, we love the name Reign. It goes along very well with Lord Disick. But honestly, we initially thought Kourtney might have been obsessed with the TV show Reign.
However, the name Reign was a bit of a struggle for both Scott and Kourtney.
“They both fought over the name, and Scott really wanted to stick to honoring their fathers, but Kourtney got more adamant that it be unique,” a source told us EXCLUSIVELY.
Reign’s name is unique, that’s for sure. Mason and Penelope’s names aren’t quite as out there as Reign, so it looks like Kourtney wanted her third baby to have a name no one would soon forget!
